Icyshout acquires CIT Internet's hosting division

July 27, 2011 - Colorado Springs, CO – Icyshout (http://www.icyshout.com), a leading provider of web hosting and streaming radio services, announced today that it has completed the acquisition of CIT Internet's hosting business.

Signed in mid-June, Icyshout and CIT Internet entered into a definitive agreement for Icyshout to take ownership of CIT Internet's web, email and file hosting customers. "Working with CIT Internet to accomplish this has been very smooth, and we're pleased that the customer base has responded very postively," said Icyshout President Travis Taylor. Icyshout successfully migrated CIT's hosting customers to their CPanel™ hosting and automation platform, and "are proud that we didn't lose a single file or email on the way."

CIT Internet had a strategic plan to exit the market. "We have long positioned ourselves to be able to hand off the various aspects of our business when it makes sense. For hosting, that time is now," said CIT President John Messec. This move allows CIT to focus on other aspects of its operation like wireless broadband service. "We're also glad that at the same time, we now have a strategic partner for our hosting needs," Mr. Messec added.
